Ashley Elia, DVM, CVA
Dr. Ashley Elia has been part of the Cresskill Animal Hospital family since September 2011. She grew up in Tenafly, New Jersey and currently resides in Cliffside Park with her husband and her black lab mix, Wesley (aka "Wezzy"). Dr. Elia received an undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University in 2004 and then attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, earning a DVM degree in 2009. Prior to joining our team, she practiced at Banfield Pet Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts for two years.
Dr. Elia has always had an interest in alternative medicine which prompted her to further her studies and earn a Certificate of Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) in 2012 from the Chi Institute. She finds acupuncture to be a wonderful adjunct to traditional medicine and she has been extremely pleased with its success in her patients. She also has a special interest in dentistry and ophthalmology.
Nitsan Tal, DVM
Dr. Nitsan Tal, a veterinarian at Cresskill Animal Hospital, grew up in Israel and currently resides in Closter, New Jersey. She received an undergraduate degree from Tel Aviv University in 1992 and a DVM degree from Koret School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. In addition to practicing at Cresskill Animal Hospital, Dr. Tal has also spent time practicing at Lefferts Animal Hospital in Richmond Hill, New York.
Dr. Tal's medical interests include internal medicine, endocrinology, soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. She appreciates establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets. She also enjoys photography and spending her leisure time with her friends and family as well as her pet cat.
Ilana Yablonovich, VMD
Dr. Ilana Yablonovich grew up in Englewood, New Jersey and currently resides in New York City. She received an undergraduate degree from Barnard College in New York and earned a VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, Dr. Yablonovich returned to New York, completing a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn. Her special interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology.
In her spare time, Dr. Yablonovich enjoys running, trying new foods, and traveling. She also shares her home with a handsome hound named Carlos.
